The men and women who have made sacrifices to serve their country deserve the benefits they have earned. However, sometimes they are unaware of the benefits and services they are entitled to, or face challenges accessing them. San Mateo County is a leader in offering services for veterans and their families. As part of the county’s Human Services Agency, the VSO offers support for veterans and their families through connecting veterans to state and federal benefits and referrals to services from the county Human Services Agency. The VSO wants every San Mateo County veteran to walk through their doors and get all the support they deserve — and that goal is only achievable through the community's support.
