“Where parents choose and students succeed,” that's the motto at Innovative Education Management (IEM), a nonprofit organization that develops and operates independent study charter schools across California. Individualized education can benefit a range of students and learning types, from those who struggle in a traditional classroom environment to advanced learners who are looking for an accelerated curriculum. IEM schools offer home schooling parents a variety of choices through a comprehensive list of vendors with which to teach electives and higher level courses. And just as with traditional schools, students have access to social opportunities with other families. Students can receive a quality education at home with the right support.
