Over the 10 years, community-based organizations and public institutions worked together to address the socioeconomic and environmental challenges contributing to the poor health of their communities. Community Action Agency of Butte County is serving the community through programs that address hunger, housing, energy use and seniors. Community action gives consumers the tools to lift themselves out of poverty, so they rely less on government aid.
